Ancelotti renews with Brazil: contract confirmed until the 2030 World Cup

The coach Carlo Ancelotti has officially extended his role with the Brazilian Football Federation, ensuring leadership of the National Team also for the 2030 World Cup.

The Brazilian Football Federation announced the multi-year renewal of Carlo Ancelotti. The new agreement extends the Italian coach's tenure until 2030, surpassing the previously scheduled end date which set the mandate to conclude at the 2026 World Cup. This decision aims to ensure continuity and full synergy between the federation and the coach.

The announcement was made via a video posted on the official channels of the Brazilian federation, with direct participation from the coach himself. Ancelotti is currently in Rio de Janeiro to coordinate the preparation for the next international trip to America.

The coach has already published the first squad list, which includes player Neymar. For the coach, managing the footballer concerns solely his current physical condition and not his technical ability to play football.

"Brazil 🤝 Carlo Ancelotti until 2030! Brazil continues under the command of one of the greatest coaches in history! Commitment, continuity, and trust to take the Brazilian National Team even further."

Brazil has not won a world championship since 2002, when it triumphed in South Korea with a squad composed of Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Cafu, and Roberto Carlos. Since that title, the Brazilian national team has not participated in a World Cup final, registering critical moments such as the 7-1 loss at home against Germany at the 2014 World Cup, tournament that concluded with Germany's victory over Argentina in the final.
